To the members of the MIT community:

I write with an important request related to the investigation of the death of MIT Police Officer Sean Collier.

MIT Chief of Police John DiFava has informed me that the Middlesex District Attorney's Office would like to talk to anyone who happened to be near the corner of Main and Vassar Streets on the night of Thursday, April 18, between about 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM. That intersection features parts of the Stata Center and the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. It also includes part of the North Court.

The DA's office is also interested in talking to anyone who was on Ames Street near Main Street at that same time.

The attached map indicates the areas of interest.

The search for potential witnesses is a routine part of any criminal investigation.

If you were at or near either of these locations at the time in question, of if you have other information to share about this matter, you are asked to contact any of the following:

MIT Police
Detective Bill Boulter
(617) 258-9724

Cambridge Police
(617) 349-3331

Middlesex District Attorney's Office/Massachusetts State Police:
(781) 897-6600

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Israel Ruiz
