MIT students give back to Habitat for Humanity.
On Nov. 8, students from MIT helped construct a home for a family in need in Bedford, Mass. The site is part of a project by the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell (HFHGL) that includes nearly three acres of land and a historic farmhouse located at 130 North Road in Bedford.
Several of the MIT students took a break from hammering and sawing to explain their role in the project, and why they believe that community service plays an integral role in their experience at MIT.
