EcoExpo displays MIT's sustainability initiative, April 25

EcoExpo, a free sustainability exhibition open to the public that will bring together students and student groups from across the Institute, will showcase the full range of sustainability initiatives being developed at MIT on Wednesday, April 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Stata Center lobby.

EcoExpo is the culmination of MIT students' commitment over the past few years to take on the challenges of global sustainability across the realms of technology, business and science. Exhibitors will include students from MIT's Sloan School of Management, the Department of Urban Studies and Planning, the Laboratory for Energy and the Environment and Biodiesel@MIT--which won this year's $25K GE/mtvU Ecomagination Challenge competition--along with many other campus organizations from all over campus.

"These efforts have largely been progressing independently, and no single event to date has presented the full scale and scope of student initiatives to the public," said organizer Jialan Wang, a Ph.D. candidate in financial economics at the MIT Sloan School of Management. "The time is now for showing the world our deep commitment to advancing the cause of global sustainability."
