Big stink

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- A strong gas odor in Building 13 and surrounding areas Thursday afternoon was traced to a laboratory using a sulfur compound in an experiment. The researchers have agreed to stop their experiment until a method can be devised to collect the sulfur compound before it exits their apparatus. Persons concerned about exposure to the odor may call the Medical Department (x3-4481) or the Industrial Hygiene Office (x3-2596).
