The MIT Center for Environmental Health Sciences, an interdisciplinary research center funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, is inviting MIT faculty to apply for funding for pilot projects related to environmental health research.
The center anticipates funding five or more projects at $15,000 to $25,000 each. The deadline for submitting proposals is Oct. 1.
The pilot program seeks to:
- Provide initial support for new investigators to establish research in the area of environmental health.
- Allow for exploration of innovative new directions representing a significant departure from ongoing funded research for established investigators in the environmental health sciences.
- Stimulate investigators from other areas of study to apply their expertise to environmental health research.
- Provide an opportunity for investigators to take a multidisciplinary approach to environmental health research through collaboration with others.
