Three students who have taught in the Experimental Studies Group (ESG) have received the Todd Anderson ESG Teaching Award for sustained excellence in teaching by undergraduates at ESG. They are Nirav B. Shah, a senior in aeronautics and astronautics from Jericho, NY; Philip Miller, a senior in chemistry from Mahwah, NJ; and Yvonne Lai, a senior in mathematics from Holmdel, NJ. The award was set up by Todd Anderson (PhD 1995, chemistry), who taught chemistry and supervised undergraduate chemistry tutors at ESG from 1991-95. He won the Goodwin Medal for excellence in graduate teaching in 1995.
The second annual Peter and Sharon Fiekowsky ESG Community Award recognizes outstanding or sustained dedication to the ESG community. The award was established by Peter Fiekowsky (SB 1977) and his wife Sharon. This year's recipients are Miriam Boon, a junior in physics from Toronto, Ontario; and Megan Dybvig, a freshman from Clayton, MO.
