Managing a startup will be topic of satellite broadcast

Unique issues faced by entrepreneurs in an uncertain economy will be explored by a panel of five experts during an MIT Enterprise Forum satellite broadcast entitled "Managing a Startup in Turbulent Times" on Wednesday, June 6 at 7pm in Kresge Auditorium.

The panel will include successful entrepreneurs, educators, managers and investors who are well qualified to interpret emerging trends in today's rapidly changing business climate. The panelists will include moderator Ken Morse (SB 1968), managing director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center; Jon Hirschtick, CEO and co-founder of SolidWorks; Beth Marcus (SB 1979), founder and president of Glow Dog, Inc.; Fred Middleton, founder and general partner of Sanderling Ventures; and Burt Rubenstein, managing director of YankeeTek Ventures.

Registration for the program begins at 6pm on June 6 at Kresge. Admission is $15 for members in advance or $20 on site; $20 for non-members in advance or $25 on site; students get in free with valid ID. The member price is available to MIT Enterprise Forum chapter members, MIT Alumni Club members, MIT Sloan Alumni Club members and MIT alumni attending Tech reunions.
