GOP senatorial candidate to speak on campus Tuesday

Republican senatorial candidate Jack E. Robinson brings his campaign to the MIT campus next Tuesday (October 10) by delivering a speech in Rm 6-120 at 7:30pm.

The event is being sponsored by the MIT Society for Campus Awareness, which hosted a Bill Bradley appearance last September before the primary election. The MIT College Republicans group is co-sponsoring Mr. Robinson's speech.

Mr. Robinson, who is opposing six-time incumbent Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA), fought his way onto the ballot despite opposition by Republican Party leaders and Governor Paul Cellucci.

Carla Howell of the Libertarian Party is also on the ballot.

For additional information, contact senior Christopher Smith of Alexandria, VA, at x5-6271 or cdsmith@mit.edu. Mr. Smith, a materials science and engineering major, helped organize the Bradley event.
