��������� MIT's List Visual Arts Center has been nominated for Best Museum by the Boston Citysearch website. "The List demonstrates that stellar, challenging, contemporary art doesn't have to be pedantic," states the voting sheet. Voting is open until Wednesday, Sept. 13 and the outcome will be revealed on Monday, Oct. 2. List Center staff members urge the MIT community to vote often.
��������� Pet Brick Productions, founded in 1999 by co-artistic directors Patrick Wang (SB 1998) and Brett Conner, begins its new season on Thursday, Sept. 7 with David Mamet's The Water Engine, followed on Friday, Sept. 15 with the world premiere of 7 affadavits on authority by award-winning local playwright Brandon Toropov. Mr. Toropov's play is presented as a joint production by Theatrics! Mr. Wang, whose degree is in economics, is now what he calls a "non-equity, professional actor, director and producer." Both plays will run in repertory through October 1 at the Tremont Theater at 276 Tremont Street in Boston.
