Reengineering, the campus environment and reforms in alcohol and housing policies are likely to be among topics on the table at an MIT "town meeting" in Kresge Auditorium on Friday, Oct. 31 from noon-2pm.
"Everything is fair game," said President Charles Vest, who will be holding his fifth town meeting.
With no set agenda, the meeting is intended to give community members an opportunity to inquire about any issue that concerns them. Anonymous questions may be submitted by e-mail to town-meeting@mit.edu>.
President Vest will respond to questions, aided by others if further information is needed. This format was used at town meetings last May and December.
Joan Rice, vice president for human resources, urges supervisors to allow employees to attend the meeting, which will be simulcast over MIT cable and at Lincoln Laboratory. Cookies and beverages will be served in the Kresge lobby.
