Success from the perspective of a Jordanian female scientist

Special event will focus on women's role in society and science

On Thursday, Oct. 30, Rana Dajani, associate professor of molecular cell biology at the Hashemite University in Jordan, will visit the MIT campus to present "Success from the Perspective of a Jordanian Woman Scientist." The event, hosted by the Sociotechnical Systems Research Center, will take place at 4:15 p.m. in Building 1-190.

Dajani will discuss her experience as a female scientist working in the Arab world, how it compares to those of her Western counterparts, and shared definitions for success. A reception will follow.
