Former Secretary of State George Shultz PhD ’49 focus of PBS series

A three-part PBS series on MIT alumnus and former U.S. Secretary of State George P. Shultz PhD '49, which aired its first parts on the two previous Mondays, will air the final part on July 26 from 10-11 p.m.

The series, titled "Turmoil & Triumph," will look closely at Shultz's service in President Ronald Reagan’s administration.

Shultz was a professor in the Department of Economics and the MIT Sloan School of Management from 1948 to 1957. He is also the chairman of the MIT Energy Initiative's External Advisory Board.
