Tech Talk stops publishing jobs

Positions Available, the twice-monthly MIT Tech Talk insert that listed descriptions of job openings at the Institute, will no longer be published. Internal and external MIT job seekers can find up-to-date job information at http://web.mit.edu/hr/staffing. Starting in late fall, Staffing Services will also publish an online, printer-friendly version of new jobs that have been posted during the previous week

Anyone with questions may e-mail staffingservices@mit.edu. Those who need assistance viewing jobs or completing an online application may call 452-4156. MIT employees may also contact the Career Planning Office (progress@mit.edu) for help with the job search process.

The Staffing Services site allows both internal and external prospective job applicants to search for openings by several criteria such as new jobs posted in the past seven days; career area; or a job's department, lab or center. It also offers information about MIT salary structures and benefits, and a link to apply for specific jobs online.

A version of this article appeared in MIT Tech Talk on September 10, 2003.
