Giving campaign is at 96 percent of goal

The "Community Giving at MIT" campaign will continue through the end of this month in hopes that a few more donations will help MIT reach or surpass last year's contribution level.

As of Jan. 7, the campaign had received pledges of $361,602, or 96 percent of its goal, from 1,134 community members. Of the total, $271,606 has been designated for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, $80,832 for the MIT Community Service Fund and $9,164 for other charity options.

For more information, contact your departmental Campaign Solicitor, see the campaign web site or call the Office of Special Community Services x3-7914.
