In brief

VOICEMAIL UPGRADE

There will be interruptions in voicemail service on Saturday, June 16 between 8am and 3pm. The outages, related to the link between the MIT voicemail system and the 5ESS telephone system, are required to upgrade the system to allow storage of 10-digit phone numbers in the message envelope. The work will affect how customers access their mailbox from their campus phone and callers trying to leave voicemail messages for MIT customers while each voicemail box is being upgraded. The outage to each mailbox will be up to two hours within the seven-hour period (the upgrade is being staggered so everyone is not out at the same time). See the 3DOWN web site for more infomation.
