Campus construction update

Placement of concrete on the second underground level is underway. On May 16, concrete delivery will require temporary pedestrian rerouting in front of Building 56.

SIMMONS HALL

Heavy equipment in the Building W89 parking lot may cause noise and vibrations. Pedestrian traffic may also be affected.

CHEMISTRY BUILDING

Roof demolition has begun, which will involve cutting and drilling to strip old materials and bolting of new structural components. This may cause noise disruption to the occupants of fifth-floor south-facing offices and labs.

WIND TUNNEL

Workers will scrape, power-wash and paint the cylinder's exterior. Occupants in Building 33 whose windows face east are advised to close their windows.

Foundation waterproofing and backfilling may result in dust, mud and noise in the surrounding area.
