European Club will host summit

The MIT European Club is hosting a Pan-European StartUp Summit on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13 in the duPont Athletic center to explore business and investment opportunities in Europe and North America.

At the event, Internet entrepreneurs will discuss innovative services, business and investment strategies, technological trends and intellectual property issues. Keynote speakers include John Preston, co-director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center and a senior lecturer at the Sloan School; Professor Chris Blank of Harvard University's Franklin Pierce Law Center; Tony Philip of iTransEuro.com; and Matthias Keudel of BertelsmannValley. There will be more than 20 workshops with leading academic and industry figures.

Sponsors include Vitaminic, 3i Group, IVC Venture Capital, e-start.com, Mars-Capital, Palmer & Dodge LLP, BertelsmannValley and @McKinsey. The event is being co-organized by meOme.de, a European web portal startup.
