The Commencement Committee invites suggestions from all members of the community for the guest speaker at MIT's 2003 Commencement exercises on June 9. Suggestions must be received by Friday, Oct. 4.
The speaker should be someone who can address topics of relevance to MIT. Suggestions should be submitted to Kevin Nazemi, president of the Class of 2003 (nazemi@mit.edu); Sanith Wijesinghe, president of the Graduate Student Council (gsc-president@mit. edu); Gayle Gallagher, executive officer for Commencement (gayle@mit.edu); and Professor Eric Grimson, chairman of the Commencement Committee (welg@ai.mit.edu).
After reviewing the suggestions, the committee will submit a list to President Charles Vest. The list will not be made public. Vest will select and invite the Commencement speaker.
