The Benefits Office reminds eligible employees that the annual benefits open-enrollment period will begin tomorrow (Oct. 31) and will run through Thursday, Nov. 14.
You will not need to do anything if you want to maintain your current level of coverage for 2003. However, if you had a Flexible Spending Account in 2002, you must re-enroll to have an account again in 2003.
Employees may enroll by phone or on the web using the SAPWeb Benefits Self-Service System.
Early retirees (those under age 65) will also receive Personal Enrollment Guides in the mail in early November. They will not need to do anything to maintain current coverage for 2003. Retirees may make open-enrollment elections by phone using the MIT Benefits Self-Service System, which allows users to listen to a review of benefits and record changes.
The Open Enrollment fair is going on today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Twenty Chimneys in the Stratton Student Center. Representatives from each of the health plans, the dental plan and the life insurance plan will be available to answer questions. Members of the Benefits Office staff also will be on hand to answer any other benefit questions from employees.
