Campus conctruction update

VASSAR STREET UTILITIES

Access to the main lot under Building 39 will be restricted beginning in mid-January and continuing for several weeks. From Vassar Street westbound, there will be no left turn allowed. Exiting from the main lot will be permitted to the right only.

MEDIA LAB EXPANSION

Demolition of Building E10 has resumed and continues at a slow rate, as planned, to mitigate noise, dust and other negative impacts. Demolition is expected to be complete by mid-January.

STATA CENTER

Cutting for tunnel connection to the Alumni Pool is complete. Additional steam connection to Building 57 will be completed by the end of this week.

NSTAR TRANSMISSION LINE

NStar is installing a 115kv transmission line along Memorial Drive from Pleasant Street near Howard Johnson's to the Longfellow Bridge. The work will continue through the winter. Lane restrictions may cause traffic delays.

70 PACIFIC ST.

Exterior construction continues, including spray-on fireproofing, framing, sheathing and masonry work. Roof penetrations are being laid out, in preparation for the final roof installation.

See the Evolving Campus web site for more information on these and other projects.
