Delta Airlines has stopped flying its shuttle service between Boston and Washington's National Airport as of Sept. 1 due to low demand. As a result, the MIT Travel Office has entered into an agreement with US Airways effective through Aug. 31, 2003 for official MIT business travel.
The discounted contract fares are only available through Navigant International Boston and the Travel Collaborative. Any published fare of less than $100 each way or $200 round trip is excluded, and the incentive cannot be combined with any other unpublished discount, AirScrip or promotional fare.
The agreement allows discounts of 24 percent on travel within the continental United States or between continental United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Europe, as well as 15 percent discounts on Metrojet fares. On the US Airways shuttle, one-way flights between Boston and La Guardia Airport in New York, or between La Guardia and National Airport, are $81. Flights between Boston and National Airport are $165.
