Paul Violi, called "the best satirical mind in contemporary poetry" by Andrei Codrescu of National Public Radio, will read from his latest book, Fracas, on Thursday, March 18 at 7pm in Rm 14E-304.
Mr. Violi is an iconoclast who writes experimental poems, but with a sense of humor, according to William Corbett, writer-in-residence at MIT and organizer of the "poetry@mit" series. Fracas, Violi's newly published seventh book is "vital, brash and often very funny," said Mr. Corbett. Mr. Violi is on the faculty of New York University.
