The MIT chapter of the Chi Phi fraternity will hold its fourth annual 5K Road Race to benefit the Nature Conservancy on Saturday, April 10 beginning at 10:30am.
Runners who pay the $15 registration fee by April 1 will receive a free T-shirt. To register, go to MIT's Public Service Center (Rm W20-549). On race day, participants may register from 9-10am on Kresge Oval. The 5-kilometer race will begin promptly at 10:30am at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Amherst Street. Prizes will be awarded in several categories.
Proceeds of the race will go to The Nature Conservancy, a nonprofit organization established to preserve diversity in nature through the protection of lands and bodies of water. Past beneficiaries of the race have been The Nature Conservancy (1998), Dorchester Temple Baptist Food Pantry (1997) and the Watson House (1996).
