MIT Press book Engineering Systems wins Honorable Mention for 2011 PROSE Award

Engineering Systems: Meeting Human Needs in a Complex Technological World has received an Honorable Mention for the 2011 American Publishers Award for Professional and Scholarly Excellence (PROSE) Award in the Engineering & Technology category. The book, by Olivier L. de Weck, Daniel Roos and Christopher L. Magee, offers a comprehensive examination of a number of different complex, sociotechnical systems and the associated field of engineering systems. The book is part of the MIT Press Engineering Systems Book Series.

The PROSE Awards are presented by the Professional and Scholarly Publishing (PSP) Division of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) and annually recognize the very best in professional and scholarly publishing by bringing attention to distinguished books, journals and electronic content in more than 40 categories. The PROSE Awards have been judged by peer publishers, librarians and medical professionals since 1976.
