Dr. William Lawrence, the director of the North Africa Program for International Crisis Group, will present the third seminar in the Emile Bustani Middle East Seminar Series today, Feb. 14, at 4:30 p.m. in E51-395.
Lawrence is the former State Department's officer in charge of Libyan and Tunisian Affairs and the U.S. State Department's Senior Advisor for Global Engagement. His talk is titled "The North African 'Arab Spring': Days of Rage, Dreams of Trespass"
The Emile Bustani Middle East Seminar is organized under the auspices of the MIT Center for International Studies, which conducts research on contemporary international issues and provides an opportunity for faculty and students to share perspectives and exchange views.
