Memorial service for Leo Osgood to be held Dec. 11

A memorial service for Leo Osgood will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, in the MIT Chapel.

Osgood, who in his many roles at MIT had a profound impact on the students, faculty and staff with whom he worked, died Nov. 11 after a long illness. In the course of his career at MIT, Osgood served as an associate dean and director of the Office of Minority Education, dean on call, associate professor, and coach of the MIT men's basketball team.

The memorial service will be followed by a reception in W11.
