IS&T training courses can help you keep pace with software

New courses are being offered on Windows 7, Adobe Creative Suite 4 and Acrobat 9
Operating systems and applications don't stand still. Each month, vendors release software loaded with new features and fixes. Information Services and Technology (IS&T) offers training that can help you keep pace.

Windows 7
Most notably, IS&T is offering four courses on Windows 7. These include a half-day New Features class and a full-day Advanced class. In addition, IS&T has negotiated great savings on two classes taught by CompuWorks at their facility in Boston:

  • Installing and Configuring Windows 7 Client (3 consecutive days)
  • Windows Server 2008 Active Directory (3 consecutive days)

Windows users may also be interested in IS&T's new full-day course, Intro to Microsoft Project 2007.

Adobe Creative Suite 4 and Acrobat 9
IS&T's Adobe Creative Suite courses have been updated to CS4. Individual courses focus on Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, and Illustrator. There's even a new course on using layers in Photoshop CS4.

Also brand new is a Basics course on Acrobat 9, Adobe's program for creating and managing portable document format (PDF) files. In addition to creating and modifying PDFs, students will learn how to

  • Insert multimedia content, such as audio, video, and flash files
  • Add bookmarks and links
  • Improve a document's accessibility
