MIT is hosting a community reception to welcome Susan Hockfield on her first day as MIT's 16th president. The reception, open to all members of the MIT community, will be held on Monday, Dec. 6 at the Stratton Student Center from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will feature food and festivities, including music by the Mark Greel Band interspersed with performances by three MIT a cappella groups: the Logarhythms, Resonance at MIT, and the MIT Muses.
