Rachel Valdez

Rachel Valdez has been playing the trumpet since fifth grade, and has performed with the Caney Creek High School marching band and the Conroe Symphony Orchestra. She would like to expand her musical horizons at MIT. "I've always wanted to play the piano," Valdez told the Conroe Courier.

Valdez plans to major in chemistry and hopes to go on to medical school. She is a member of the National Honor Society and was the class valedictorian.
