Down with the old

Demolition of Building 45 on Vassar Street got under way on April 30 and was completed two days later. The one-story, 13,616-square-foot building, which opened in 1979, was torn down to make way for the brain and cognitive sciences project. The butterflies that decorated the exterior have moved to the adjacent building.
