Demolition of the East Garage got under way on Wednesday, June 25. Material from the garage will be recycled. Several rows of parking spaces in the East Garage Annex Lot have been removed. Pedestrian traffic on Main Street has been shifted from the sidewalk adjacent to the East Garage to a walkway on Main Street as demolition continues. One lane of vehicular traffic has been closed. The "Garage Closed" sign is an exercise in understatement. Donna Coveney
