EZRide improves schedule

Several service improvements for the new EZRide shuttle linking North Station, the MIT campus and Cambridgeport started on Feb. 11.

The changes include more frequent departures (every 12 minutes), adjusted stop times, reduced layover time at Kendall Square, and an added stop at Broadway and Binney streets (Galileo Way). The "sneak preview" period when all passengers ride for free has also been extended until Feb. 25. Members of the MIT community with an MIT ID will always be able to ride free, however, since the Institute is one of the service's sponsors.

After monitoring arrival times at North Station, the Charles River Transportation Management Association has found that the trip between Kendall Square and North Station takes between 12 and 18 minutes.
