Errata

Several errors were printed in the May 8 issue of MIT Tech Talk.


John Tucker, the faculty adviser for the MIT Beta Theta Chapter of Eta Kappa Nu was said to have received the Eminent Member Award. In fact, he received the Distinguished Service Award for 2000, which was awarded at the recent banquet. Amar G. Bose, professor of electrical engineering and computer science, emeritus, received the Eminent Member Award.


Assistant Professor Santosh Vempala, who was named a Sloan Research Fellow, is in the Department of Mathematics, not electrical engineering and computer science. Assistant Professor Andrei Tokmakoff's name was misspelled. He is a Sloan Research Fellow in the Department of Chemistry.


Associate Professor Angela Belcher will join MIT in September with a dual appointment in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Biological Engineering Division of the School of Engineering (not the Center for Biological Engineering as reported).
