Two honored for foreign language accomplishments

Jamie Mak of Getzville, N.Y., a junior in materials science and engineering with a concentration in East Asian studies, has received the award for excellence in foreign languages and literatures, which recognizes the undergraduate who best reflects the section's goals of achievement of proficiency in a foreign language and culture.

The awards committee presented a second prize to Jessica Harvey of Midland, Texas, a senior in chemistry who is minoring in French.
