Offices seek contributions of toys for the holidays

The Parking and Transportation Office will sponsor a Toys for Tickets program, and the MIT Federal Credit Union offices will be collection points for the Toys for Tots program.

In lieu of collecting fines for outstanding MIT parking violations, Parking and Transportation will accept new, unopened toys from Dec. 10-14 and Dec. 17-20. The toy or game must be of equal or greater value than the fine for the parking violation.

Bring the parking ticket, the toy its receipt to Parking and Transportation in Room E32-105 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The offer is good for any outstanding MIT parking violation, regardless of the date.

The preferred gifts are toys or games for kids aged 10-12.

CREDIT UNION

Each year, the MIT credit union and other local credit unions support the US Marine Corps in its collection of new toys that are distributed to needy children during the holiday season.

Donors can participate by bringing unwrapped new toys to the MIT Federal Credit Union before Dec. 7. The offices are in Room E19-437 on campus and in Room A-100 at Lincoln Lab. For hours and other information, call x8-2709 or see the MITFCU web site.
