Guth wins science teaching award

Professor Alan Guth, the Weisskopf Professor of Physics, was selected as the recipient of the 1998/1999 School of Science Prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. The citation, presented by Dean Robert J. Birgeneau, reads, "For his enthusiastic, well-organized, crystal clear and inspiring lectures, masterful development of study aids (including the study guide and web site for 8.01), and genuine concern for the well-being of his students."
