MIT Supplemental 401(k) Plan statements will be mailed from Fidelity Investments during the coming week. This statement represents only employees' MIT Supplemental 401(k) balances; employees will continue receiving statements on the MIT Basic Retirement Plan on an annual basis (the next such statement is due in the spring of 2000).
Fidelity will be holding investment review presentations on campus and at Lincoln Lab in early August. These presentations will review the second-quarter 1999 market environment and discuss the MIT 401(k) investment options in detail. Visit the Benefits Office web site at http://web.mit.edu/benefits/www for dates, times and locations.
Anyone who is a participant in the MIT Supplemental 401(k) plan and does not receive a statement by July 31 may need to complete a Personal Change Notice to update his or her address. This form can be found in the back of the MIT phone directory.
Those with questions about their accounts may call (800) MIT-SAVE (648-7283) to speak with a Fidelity Retirement Services specialist Monday through Friday, 8am to midnight. The teletypewriter (TTY) number for the speech and hearing-impaired is (800) 259-9743.
Employees can also view account information on line by visiting the Fidelity NetBenefits web site at http://netbenefits.non-profits.com/. This site lets users view their current account balances, current share prices, recent contributions and any earnings, and historical performance of Fidelity investment options. They can also make exchanges (transfers) between investment options, change the investment mix of future contributions or change contribution amounts.
