Bras to give Taylor lecture

Professor Rafael Bras, head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Bacardi-Stockholm Water Foundations Professor, will deliver the second Robert R. Taylor Lecture Monday evening at Twenty Chimneys in the Stratton Student Center. His topic will be "Believe and Achieve: Success is Earned, Not Given at MIT."

The lecture series, sponsored by the Office of Minority Education (OME) and the OME Student Advisory Council, is named after a distinguished African-American member of the Class of 1892. Dinner will be served at 5:30pm and a question-and-answer session will follow Professor Bras' talk. Seating is limited. For additional information, call x3-4048.
