Kellermann named recording secretary

Bonny S. Kellermann '72, formerly associate registrar for academic services, became recording secretary of the Institute, effective July 1.

Ms. Kellermann succeeds Winifred T. McDonough, who had held the post for many years before her retirement in June. The appointment was announced by Glenn P. Strehle, treasurer and vice president for finance. Ms. Kellermann is the official who is responsible for the gift records for the MIT Corporation.

Ms. Kellermann has been a staff member at MIT since 1974, first in the Office of the Dean for Student Affairs and later in Admissions where she became associate director and director of the Educational Council, the worldwide network of alumni/ae who assist in the admissions process.

An active alumna, Ms. Kellermann has been president of her class and chaired the committee for its 10th, 15th and 20th reunions. She is a board member of the MIT Club of Boston and has been a member of the National Selection Committee of the Alumni/ae Association.

A former president of the Association of MIT Alumnae (AMITA), Ms. Kellermann is now serving as chair of its oral history project in which reminiscences of former alumnae are being recorded for the MIT Archives. She is also a trustee of the MIT Community Service Fund. Ms. Kellermann is an avid ice skater who teaches in the Athletic Department and has won national championships in precision skating.
