Think globally, snack locally at Sept. 14 fall break

Killian Court event to showcase GreeningMIT efforts

The MIT community is invited to think globally and snack locally from 3-4 p.m. on Monday in Killian Court during the annual MIT community fall break social. Come enjoy ice cream and cupcakes while learning about sustainable practices in the office, lab, and residence hall - all part of the GreeningMIT effort.

GreeningMIT is a campus campaign to encourage us all to take an active role in a time of change. Information tables at the fall break will include recycling, commuting, composting, energy use and conservation, and others that play a role in building a more a sustainable campus.

The fall break social is sponsored by the Office of the President, the Graduate Student Council, the Undergraduate Association, and the Campus Energy Task Force. View the event poster here.
