Second benefits enrollment period set

A four-day benefits Open Enrollment period will be held from Monday, Dec. 11 through Thursday, Dec. 14 to allow employees to make additional changes to their benefits.

Problems with the Benefits Office self-service enrollment system during the last day and a half of Open Enrollment last month prevented some employees from making their 2001 benefits elections. As a result, the Benefits Office is issuing this reminder about the second open enrollment period, which is normally held after the benefits confirmation statements are distributed.

The Benefits self-service system will be operational during the second enrollment period. Confirmation statements, with information about how to access the system, will be distributed this Thursday and Friday.

Any benefits-eligible employees who experience difficulty with the automated system or who have questions about their benefits are encouraged to contact the Benefits Office for assistance. The Benefits Office can be reached by e-mail at benefits-www@mit.edu or by phone at x3-6151 on campus or 181-7055 at Lincoln Laboratory.
