Medicare Supplement to open

The Benefits Office has announced that the 1998 Medicare Supplement Plans' open enrollment will be held March 2-31. Those who wish to remain in their current Medicare supplement plan do not need to do anything. Changes made during this period will take effect on May 1.

An information packet has been sent to all current participants. Those who have not received a package by the end of this week and think they should have may call Benefits at x3-6151 or send an e-mail request to benefits-www@mit.edu.

Individuals who are currently enrolled in Medicare supplement plans and anyone nearing Medicare eligibility are invited to attend one of the seminars that will provide information on Medicare and the supplement plans available through MIT. After the presentation, representatives of each plan will be available for individual consultation.

The seminars will be held at the following times and locations:

Wednesday, March 11 - 9:30am-noon or 1:30-4:30pm, Faculty Club.

Thursday, March 12 - 9:30am-noon, Lincoln Laboratory Rm S2-180, or 1:30-4:30pm, Faculty Club.
