Athletic-card discount simpler

A simpler process will make it more convenient for Traditional and Flexible MIT Health Plan members to purchase discounted MIT Athletic Cards through the MIT FIT program, announced Annette Jacobs, executive director of the Medical Department.

"Members asked us to make it easier for them to get their MIT FIT discount, and we listened," Ms. Jacobs said.

Traditional and Flexible MIT Health Plan members can now call x3-1322 or send e-mail to hplan@med.mit.edu> and ask to have a verified MIT FIT application mailed to their office or home. If sending e-mail, members should include their full name, MIT ID number and office or home address.

MIT Health Plan members can then receive their discount by taking the verified MIT FIT application with them when the Athletic Department begins selling Athletic Cards at duPont Gymnasium this summer.
