Carl Kaysen commemoration to be held Saturday

A commemoration of the life of national security expert Carl Kaysen, MIT’s David W. Skinner Professor of Political Economy, Emeritus, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences in Cambridge. A reception will follow.

Kaysen, former director of the Institute’s Program in Science, Technology, and Society, passed away in February at his home in Cambridge. He was 89.

Seating at the event is limited, and registration is therefore required. To register, please contact Amy Stewart at (617) 576-5032 or astewart@amacad.org.

The American Academy of Arts & Sciences is located at 136 Irving St. in Cambridge. For vehicle access, please use the entrance at 200 Beacon St. in Somerville. Valet parking will be available.
