The conference’s theme is "Nature and Technology in French History." The panels cover all periods of French history, including France’s colonial and post-colonial past. The event is being held largely at the Kendall Marriott and on the MIT campus; it is co-hosted by both MIT and Harvard University. Several MIT scholars are participating in the event.
Thanks to generous support from the School of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences, the History Faculty, the MIT-France Program, and the French Initiatives Endowment Fund in Course 21F, MIT faculty and graduate students are not required to pay registration fees. Additional funding comes from the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Science, the Florence Gould Foundation, and the French Consulate of Boston.
