Media Lab Conversations Series: Kickstarter's Yancey Strickler

Yancey Strickler, co-founder and head of communications for the crowdfunding website Kickstarter, will speak today, Wednesday, April 3, from 4:30-6 p.m. as part of the MIT Media Lab Conversations Series.

Prior to Kickstarter, Strickler was a music journalist whose writing appeared in The Village Voice, New York Magazine, Pitchfork and other publications. He co-founded the eMusic Selects record label in 2007. Kickstarter is a funding platform for creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology.

The talk — taking place in the MIT Media Lab's third-floor atrium — is free and open to the public and will also be webcast.
