Four Weeks for America Challenge

The MIT Public Service Center and Teach For America have teamed up to offer MIT students the chance to spend their Independent Activities Period (IAP) solving problems that matter and learning about America’s education system.

Participating students will be matched with Teach for America math or science teachers around the country and tasked with creating impactful projects for their classrooms. Students interested in spending four weeks to take on this challenge should apply by Oct. 12 at http://mit.edu/mitpsc/whatwedo/fourweeks/.
Since 2008, 42 MIT students have participated in the Four Weeks for America Challenge, serving in locations such as New Orleans, the Bronx, Tulsa, the Mississippi Delta, the San Francisco Bay area and here in Boston.
