This Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8, marks the culmination of MIT’s semester-long Festival of Art, Science + Technology (FAST) with FAST Light, an extravaganza of interactive sculptural installations and multimedia public artworks placed around the MIT campus and along the riverfront.
During the day, you can take a self-guided tour of more than 20 installations that have transformed the campus this semester. And in the evenings from 7-10 p.m., the riverfront will come alive with kinetic illuminations including a giant brightly lit star flying over Killian Court, a 10,000-pixel interactive display of LED lights on the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge, a 3-D video-projection screen floating in the river and much, much more, all in dynamic celebration of MIT’s 150th anniversary.
The event is free and open to the public, and Memorial Drive will be closed to traffic. Learn more about the celebration
