MIT basketball teams take on cancer in final home games

The MIT men's and women's basketball teams will participate in the fourth annual WBCA Pink Zone this Saturday in Rockwell Cage during their final home games of the regular season. The event is sponsored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association to help spread breast cancer awareness. All proceeds will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

The Engineers kick off action at 1 p.m. in Rockwell Cage when the women’s team takes on Smith College. This will be followed by the men’s game against Springfield College which is slated for a 3 p.m. start.
