Join the fun at the MIT Museum's annual Friday After Thanksgiving event

The MIT Museum will host its 14th annual Friday After Thanksgiving (F.A.T.) chain reaction event from 1-4 p.m. on Nov. 25th at the Rockwell Cage Gymnasium. The event attracts people from all over the country, and features about 25 mini chain reactions linked together with the help of renowned artist and chain reaction creator, Arthur Ganson. Once each team’s contraption is connected together, the mega chain reaction is set off culminating in a special surprise ending planned by Arthur Ganson himself.

The theme this year is "Sonnets," and there will be poetry activities for the audience that include the writing of "Community Sonnets"; Jigsaw Poetry; Bleacher Fold It Poetry; and a sonnet contest.

While registration for teams is now closed, admission for spectators is $15 for adults; $5 for youth ages 5-17, students (with ID), seniors, and MIT ID-holders; Children younger than 5 admitted free with parent, guardian or chaperone. Spectator fee includes parking and free same-day admission to the MIT Museum.
